Dealing with Shin Splints, an article written by myself in the Hanover Post back in 2009 to educate on the causes and effects of shin splints. If you have ever experienced sharp shooting pains in your shins, this is usually caused by overuse of the tendon or poor mechanics of the foot. As you increase your activity level, more stress is added to your muscles at the front of your lower leg causing the Tibialis Posterior to become strained. If you have any questions about what shin splints are or would like to book an appointment with me, please don’t hesitate to send me an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
